BREAST LIFT
Loss of skin elasticity, weight loss, pregnancy and breastfeeding are the main factors affecting the shape and firmness of your breasts.
The goal of breast lift surgery is to make your breasts firmer and more uplifted including repositioning your nipple and areola into a more aesthetically pleasing location giving a more youthful appearance to your breasts. In most cases Dr Soteriou recommends the use of silicone implants to enhance the volume and the upper pole fullness.
THE CONSULTATION:
Dr Soteriou will listen to your concerns and goals regarding breast lift surgery and he will discuss your options regarding the placement of incisions, and whether or not breast implants should be considered. During the consultation, you will be asked about your desired breast shape and size.
THE PROCEDURE:
Breast lift is performed at American Medical Center under general anesthesia and you might stay overnight. Skin incisions are hidden around the areola and in more ptotic breasts, a vertical incision from the bottom edge of the areola to the inframammary fold underneath the breast will be added. After surgery you will go home with the surgical bra and you will be permitted to shower the day after. You will be instructed to wear the surgical bra for a month.
Dr. Soteriou patients typically return to light activities the day after surgery and fully recovered 1-2 weeks after. However, you will need to restrict any strenuous activity for a week and there will be no lifting anything over 5-10 Kg for the first 2 weeks. Gym is restricted for 4 weeks.
