Facelift

FACELIFT

Facelift or rhytidectomy is an aesthetic plastic surgery procedure to create a younger appearance of the face. The procedure can reduce the sagging or folds of skin on the cheeks and jawline and other changes in the shape of the face that occur with age. It is the most effective way to remove excess fat, tighten underlying muscles and redrape the skin.

THE CONSULTATION:

During the consultation, Dr. Soteriou will listen to your concerns and goals regarding facelift surgery and he will spend as much time as necessary to make you feel comfortable. After decision is made to undergo a facelift procedure, it will be helpful to bring a photo that shows your face 10-15 years ago.

THE PROCEDURE:

The procedure is performed at American Medical Center under general anesthesia and you stay overnight. Incisions are hidden around and behind the ear and in the hairline.

After surgery you will go home without bandages or garments and you will be permitted to shower the day after. Patients typically return to light activities on the first day and are fully recovered 2 weeks after.
