A buttock lift procedure is usually recommended for those struggling with loose or sagging skin in the buttocks and thighs areas, that has developed as a result of weight loss, aging or genetics.
A buttock lift itself won’t add any volume to your buttocks but it can be companied if needed to alter the shape or size of the buttocks with implants or fat grafts.
Usually buttock lift is performed in combination with other body contouring procedures.
During the consultation Dr. Soteriou will examine and evaluate your condition, he will listen your concerns and goals regarding your buttock shape and he will explain you the details of the buttock lift procedure and whatever is needed to achieve the desire result.
Buttock lift surgery is performed at American Medical Center under general anesthesia. The skin incision is made at the waist along the lower back, designed to be covered by the underwear and excess skin and fat are removed. In cases where volume and projection of the buttocks are inadequate, Dr. Soteriou might use a fat grafting to augment and reshape the buttocks.
Recovery depends on the extend of the procedure and compression garments will be necessary for a period of one month. You will be advised to avoid exercise for a period of one month.
Results are visible almost immediately, but final results may take several months. Final results are almost permanent, however, excessive weight gain or pregnancy might affect them.
